My Story: Finding Strength in Hardship 

I was born and grew up in a favela in São Paulo, where I went through many financial problems with my family; there were days we barely had anything to eat. Our father struggled with alcoholism, which only worsened the situation.

The influences I had in my childhood were never good; I was offered drinks and even drugs. Amidst all this, I kept a firm mind and did not let myself be led down the wrong path. I focused on my studies and on God.

I remember very well asking for bread at the bakery to eat, or even fat from the butcher shop to take home. All these difficulties made me strong, even when so young.

Discovering Passion & Overcoming Setbacks 

From Resilience to Racing

As time went by, our life improved, and at the same time, I discovered more about my talents. I developed a passion for sports, getting to know myself more and adapting my body to running. It was then, in 2024, that I decided to focus on competing in championships.

Since then, I have been reaching the podium in most tournaments. However, unfortunately, I suffered a serious accident in January 2025, fracturing my clavicle and suffering effects from a blow to the head. After 3 months of intense recovery, I am not fully recovered, but I have already returned to competing!

The Dream: OCR LATAM & The Challenge

In one of these recent tournaments, I won second place and, along with it, qualified to compete in the biggest championship in South America (OCR LATAM), which will take place in Chile.

Amidst this, I decided to leave my job and focus solely on my dreams. But it's not that simple. Dreams are expensive.

The ongoing expenses I have with my routine mainly go to supporting my family and purchasing my equipment to live for the sport, such as running shoes, adapted clothing, and sports nutrition. These costs are around R$1500 per month.
